Who We Are
2Seam Labs LLC (“2Seam Labs,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates GameStat, a mobile application for live-scoring amateur baseball games and following teams. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices available to you. Questions about this policy may be directed to privacy@2seamlabs.com.
Information We Collect
We collect the following categories of information:
- Account information. When you sign in using Google, Facebook, or Apple, we receive basic profile information such as your name, email address, and a profile image URL, as provided by that sign-in service.
- Team and game information. Coaches, scorekeepers, and team staff enter information to score and manage games, including team names, rosters, player names, jersey numbers, fielding positions, lineups, play-by-play events, and statistics.
- Team imagery. Team logos or avatars that a user chooses to add.
- Subscription information. If you purchase a paid subscription, we receive your subscription status and related identifiers from the app store that processes the purchase. We do not receive or store your payment card details.
- Device and diagnostic information. To keep the app reliable, we collect crash and performance data, including device model, operating system version, app version, and error details.
- Usage information. Our own servers record basic usage information linked to your account ID, such as the dates your account uses the app and interactions with certain app features (for example, viewing an upgrade screen or watching a live game). This is collected first-party on our servers — not by a third-party analytics service — and never includes player information.
- Server log information. Our servers automatically record standard log data, which may include IP addresses, for security and operational purposes.
How We Collect Information
We collect information in three ways: directly from you when you sign in or use in-app features; from adults who enter information about a team, including information about players, when they score and manage games; and automatically, through crash reporting, server logs, and first-party usage analytics.
How We Use Information
We use the information we collect to provide, operate, and improve GameStat, including to:
- Create and maintain accounts and authenticate sign-in.
- Enable scoring, rosters, lineups, statistics, and following of teams.
- Display game information to users who follow a team.
- Provide, manage, and renew paid subscriptions.
- Understand aggregate usage of the app — for example, how many games are scored each week — so we can improve it.
- Diagnose problems, prevent abuse, and maintain the security and reliability of the service.
- Communicate with you about the service, including service-related notices.
How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with advertising networks. We share information only as described below:
- Service providers. We use trusted providers to operate GameStat, including Amazon Web Services (hosting, in the United States), Sentry (crash and error reporting), and the Apple App Store and Google Play (subscription billing). Sign-in is provided by Google, Facebook, and Apple.
- Other users of the app. Game scores, rosters, lineups, play-by-play, and player statistics are visible to other users who follow or participate in a team. This may include the names and statistics of players who are minors.
- Legal and safety. We may disclose information where required by law or legal process, or to investigate or address suspected fraud, abuse, violations of our Terms, or threats to safety.
- Business transfers. We may transfer information in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this Privacy Policy.
Payments
Paid subscriptions are sold and billed through the Apple App Store or Google Play, depending on your device. Your payment details are handled by the applicable app store, not by us. We receive your subscription status and related identifiers so we can provide premium features.
Data Retention
We retain information for as long as needed to provide the service and for legitimate operational, legal, and security purposes. Game and play-by-play records are maintained as part of a team’s historical record and are not automatically deleted once recorded. When you request deletion of your account or of a player record, we will delete or anonymize the associated information as described in “Your Rights and Choices,” except where we are required or permitted to retain it by law.
Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect the information we collect. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your Rights and Choices
You may access and update certain account information within the app. You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, and you may request deletion of your account, by contacting us at privacy@2seamlabs.com. Step-by-step instructions are at 2seamlabs.com/delete-account. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under applicable state law. We will verify and respond to requests as required by law.
Team staff can also manage player information directly in the app. Through the team-management workflow, a coach, scorekeeper, or team administrator can delete or anonymize a player record they are responsible for. If you would like a player record deleted or anonymized and cannot do so yourself, you can ask a team administrator, or email us at support@2seamlabs.com and we will take care of it.
Children’s Privacy
GameStat is a tool for adults — coaches, scorekeepers, team staff, parents, and fans — to score, follow, and manage amateur baseball teams. Accounts may only be created and held by individuals who are old enough to agree to our Terms of Service. GameStat is not directed to children, and children do not create accounts or use the app as account holders.
GameStat is used to score youth baseball. Team staff who use GameStat create player records that may describe children, including children under 13. These records typically include a player’s name, jersey number, fielding position, and game and season statistics, and are entered by an adult, such as a coach or scorekeeper, rather than by the child.
Because this information is entered by the adults who operate a team, we rely on those adults to have the right and any legally required permission to provide it. Any person who enters information about a player represents that they are authorized to do so and have obtained any consent required from the player’s parent or guardian, as described in our Terms of Service.
We limit the information collected about players to what is reasonably necessary to score games and produce team and player statistics. We do not require a player’s contact information, precise location, photographs, or biometric information in order to create a player record.
A parent or guardian may request to review, correct, or delete a player record describing their child by contacting us at privacy@2seamlabs.com. If you believe information about a child has been provided to us without proper authorization, please contact us and we will take reasonable steps to address it, including deleting the information where appropriate.
We handle player information consistent with our obligations under the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and other applicable laws.
Crash Reporting, Diagnostics, and Usage Analytics
We use Sentry to collect crash and error information, including device model, operating system version, app version, and error context, so we can identify and fix problems. We do not use third-party analytics or advertising SDKs, and we do not use your information for advertising.
To understand how GameStat is used, our own servers record basic usage information: the dates your account uses the app, and a small set of feature interactions (such as viewing an upgrade screen or watching a live game), linked to your account ID. This information stays on our servers, is not shared with or sold to anyone, contains no advertising identifiers or precise location, and is deleted or anonymized when your account is deleted. Player information is never included in usage analytics.
User-Provided Content
Users may add content such as team logos or avatars, team and player names, and game data. If a livestream feature is offered, GameStat links to or embeds third-party video streams and does not itself host or record video. You are responsible for having the rights necessary to submit the content you provide.
Data Location
Our servers are located in the United States. By using GameStat, you understand that your information will be stored and processed in the United States.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will post the updated policy and update the “Last updated” date above. Your continued use of GameStat after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
Governing Law
This Privacy Policy is governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles.
